Overview & Concept
A defining feature of SAKEBARO AOYAMA is that it is designed with overseas guests strongly in mind. The default format is standing, and while some in Japan may be less familiar with standing bars, Japan has had a standing-drinking culture since long ago; personally, I find nothing strange about it. There is no dedicated staff work area—the counters are configured so that guests alone can circulate all the way around—aiming for a space suited to group cohesion and to events and parties. Private rentals for about 20–30 guests are envisioned. 店舗概要・コンセプト
SAKEBARO AOYAMAの特徴は、まず海外の方を強く意識して設計している点です。基本的にスタンディング形式となっており、日本では立ち飲み文化に馴染みのない方もいるかもしれませんが、日本にも古くから立ち飲み文化はあります。個人的には特に違和感はないと思っています。スタッフの作業エリアはなく、ゲストだけですべてのカウンターをラウンド出来る仕様になっており、団体での一体感ある体験、イベントやパーティーに向いた空間を目指しています。20〜30名での貸切利用なども想定しています。
Cubic Pewter Counter
A major feature is the pewter counter. It is a large, cubic counter measuring about 1.2 meters in width and roughly 8 meters in length. Rare even worldwide, this counter is coated by spraying molten pewter along the wood grain, creating a unique texture and shadow where the grain and metal fuse. When lighting strikes the counter, the space takes on an unparalleled, bewitching expression. 錫の立方体カウンター
大きな特徴が「錫のカウンター」です。立方体の巨大カウンターで、幅1.2メートル、長さ約8メートルとかなりのサイズ感があります。世界でも珍しいこの錫のカウンターは、木の木目に沿って高温で溶かした錫を吹き付けてコーティングしており、木目と錫が融合した独特な質感と陰影が生まれています。このカウンターに照明が当たることで、他にない妖艶な表情を見せる空間が完成しています。
Minimal Design
The Aoyama space is minimally designed with a conscious “blank” that can become anything. We intentionally hold back on heavy “built-in” elements so the room remains simple and capable of flexible change without growing tiresome. The lighting offers more than 255 colors on the left and right, with control over intensity, flicker, and hue to stage scenes appropriate to each moment. Picture rails are also installed on the walls, allowing exhibitions of artworks.
ミニマル設計
青山の空間は「何者にもなれる」空白を意識したミニマルな設計です。あえて作り込みを抑え、飽きがこないように、シンプルで柔軟な変化が可能な空間にしています。照明は左右に255色以上のバリエーションがあり、強弱や点滅、色彩のコントロールによって、シーンに応じた演出が可能です。ピクチャーレールも壁に設置しており、アート作品の展示に も対応しています。
Linear Rail & Flexible Lighting
At the center runs a straight lighting rail and counter. This expresses the concept of “one line,” unifying both counter and lighting in a lean, linear structure that symbolizes the concept of the entire room. The lighting rail can also be stowed, bringing further variation to the space. Ceiling lighting can pick out flowers or objects with pin-spots to create a dreamlike atmosphere. 直線レールと可変照明
空間中央には一直線の照明レールとカウンターがあります。これは「一本の線」というコンセプトで、カウンターも照明も無駄を省いた直線構造に統一し、空間全体のコンセプトを象徴しています。この照明レールは収納も可能で、空間にさらなる変化をもたらします。また、天井照明を使って、お花やオブジェなどをピンスポットで照らすことができ、幻想的な雰囲気を演出できます。
Acoustics & AV
The acoustic design is solidly soundproofed, so club events can be held. DJ equipment, a mixer, and microphones are installed, and an LED projector is available. With the newly introduced piano-dedicated speakers, piano performances can sound as natural as if someone were playing live. 音響・AV対応
音響面では防音がしっかりしており、クラブイベントなども開催可能です。DJ機器やミキサー、マイクも設置済みで、LEDプロジェクターの使用も可能です。新しく導入されたピアノ専用スピーカーにより、ピアノ演奏時にはまるで人が弾いているかのような自然な音響体験が可能になっています。
Pewter-Clad Piano
Another distinctive element at Aoyama is the pewter piano. Only four exist in the world; this instrument is entirely coated in pewter and was custom-built from the ground up. We host live performances by pianists, and guests sometimes play impromptu. We also envision nights when overseas artists, after performing at nearby venues, drop in with their teams to enjoy food, drinks, and music together with our staff.
全面錫仕様のピアノ
もうひとつ特徴的な事として青山には「錫のピアノ」が設置されています。世界に4台しか存在しないこのピアノは、全面が錫でコーティングされており、すべてオリジナルで製作されています。実際にピアニストによるライブ演奏も行われており、お客様が即興で演奏することもあります。また、近隣のライブ会場で公演を終えた海外アーティストたちが、スタッフチームと共に打ち上げで訪れ、食事やお酒、演奏を楽しむような使われ方も想定しています。
Spatial Traits & Versatility
The interior is a rectangular plan designed so that a cappella can resonate naturally even without microphones. The venue is versatile enough for exhibitions, art events, sake tastings, press events, and large-scale parties. 空間特性と多用途性
店内は長方形の構造になっており、マイクなしでもアカペラが自然に響くような設計です。展示会、アートイベント、日本酒の試飲会、プレスイベント、大人数でのパーティーなど、多様な用途に対応できる汎用性があります。
Beverages Beyond Sake
Aoyama also serves natural wine—a point that differs from the Nakameguro location—making it easier to accommodate guests who are not fond of sake. Like our sake, the natural wine is simple and easy to drink; we may even serve wine in sake glassware, proposing flexible ways of drinking. 日本酒以外のドリンクも提供
青山店ではナチュラルワインも提供しています。これは中目黒店とは異なる点で、日本酒が苦手な方にも対応しやすい設計です。ナチュラルワインは日本酒と同じようにシンプルでごくごく飲めるスタイルのもので、日本酒用のグラスでワインを提供するなど、柔軟な発想で飲み方を提案しています。
